GEM. Winner of the "Trophées des Campus Responsables"
Grenoble Ecole de Management has been awarded the Trophées des Campus Responsables (the French-speaking edition of the Green Gown Awards) in the "Student Engagement" category. This category assesses the collaboration between staff and students on a joint project, related to the institution, on the topic of sustainable development. The school earned the award for its Student Sustainability Empowerment Model project, which involves students in the development of its ecological transition strategy. Based on a collaborative approach, the students are involved in driving and deploying projects and initiatives in the field of sustainable development. In this way, GEM encourages its students to play an active role in building their careers and futures, as well as the future of the school. This project is based on four components: attentiveness, collaborative approach, responsibility and creativity, helping students to develop a proactive and responsible attitude.
Winners of this international category are automatically nominated for the International Green Gown Awards, which are awarded each year to the best projects (United Kingdom and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, French-speaking countries, GUPES).

Podcast: behind the scenes in a futuristic back-to-school period at GEM
In partnership with Usbek and Rica, Grenoble Ecole de Management has launched season 2 of the podcast On a testé le futur (We tested the future),with a new episode: "The #backtoschool of the future".
At the beginning fo the 2020 academic year, faced with the exceptional circumstances of the health crisis, GEM was forced to reinvent itself for the students of its Grande Ecole program. The goal? To compensate for the fact that they couldn't be physically present at GEM, the school transformed exciting events of the usual Défi de la rentrée (Back-to-School Challenge) into virtual learning episodes. Over 10 days, nearly 700 students met on a digital campus to work on 2020 current events. They worked on six major themes: health, work, energy, food, education and the city. The goal was to reflect on and shape the post-health crisis world. The project involved the entire GEM ecosystem. It posed a major challenge for the teaching staff, who had to quickly learn the ropes of distance learning with its avatars, virtual workshops and digital booths. Lionel Strub - a professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management and a co-organizer of the Défi de la rentrée - tells us about this giant step towards the school of the future.
A peek behind the scenes at GEM's 2020 back-to-school events on the digital platform @lavalvirtual.
