Take part in the admissions panels of the Grande Ecole program - in person or remotely!
The Grenoble Ecole de Management Grande Ecole program admissions panels are back! Join us again this year in a hybrid format, after 2020 saw the cancellation of oral exams in higher education. You now have the choice between remote or face-to-face participation.
As a professional, the objective of your participation in the panels is to evaluate the eligible candidates, by contributing your views as a business leader (personal qualities, general knowledge, open-mindedness, etc.).
On the agenda of the admissions panels:
- the presentation of an argument by the candidate for 5 minutes.
- a reverse interview: the candidate interviews a member of the panel for 10 minutes.
- A 15-minute open discussion.
As a reminder, the admissions panel for GEM's Grande Ecole program is made up of a CEO who attended GEM, and a professional from the business world.
Face-to-face admissions panels will be held in compliance with health regulations. Meals and snacks cannot be provided this year. Alternatives will be provided in advance of your participation.
- Morning: from 8:40am to 12:30pm
- Afternoon: from 1:40 pm to 5:30 pm
Loïck Roche, Dean and Director of GEM, has joined the Business Convention for Climate (Convention des entreprises pour le climat)
Loïck Roche, Dean and Director of Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM), is from the second wave of 30 leaders selected to participate in the Business Convention for Climate (CEC). He joins other leaders from iconic Grenoble-based companies with global reach, such as ARaymond and Photoweb (selected in the first wave of 30 leaders announced in March 2021), Petzl and Keria - selected in this second wave, announced in April 2021.
The Business Convention for Climate will run from July 2021 to March 2022. The selected leaders will form a collective of 150 decision-makers who will jointly establish the roadmaps aligning their companies with the goal given to citizens in 2019. These roadmaps will serve two purposes. Firstly, to propose ambitious and credible internal initiatives, enabling the company to take action to regenerate biodiversity and meet a national carbon trajectory of at least -40% by 2030. Secondly, to develop a platform of proposals for the political world and the candidates for the 2022 presidential elections.
The 30 leaders have signed a participation charter which proves their commitment to the CEC's proactive approach.
GEMHyflex classroom technology available to all
As a société à mission and a Business Lab for Society, Grenoble Ecole de Management has decided to freely share the technical elements of its GEMHyflex device (under a creative commons CC-BY-SA license) with all institutions that may need them. This comprehensive solution, developed by GEM in 2020, allows teachers to simultaneously teach lessons to students, both remotely and face-to-face, providing the same opportunities for interaction as if they were all in one space. An innovation that is attracting the attention of many institutions in France and abroad.
"GEMHyflex classrooms offer a high-quality solution to the situation: after a short training session and targeted support, teachers quickly become self-sufficient and can experience the same kind of environment as in a face-to-face class. Remote learners can participate without any restrictions and feel fully integrated into the group, just like their peers in the classroom. This opens up extraordinary opportunities for flexibility that go far beyond just coping with the pandemic. When asked by a number of institutions to explain the solution, we decided to share this proven technology with all interested parties", explains Armelle Godener Director of Pedagogy at Grenoble Ecole de Management.
