On Tuesday, April 4, 2022, the third working group of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) submitted its section of the 6th IPCC report, which is the authoritative reference on the Climate Emergency and that gathers the scientific literature on policies and measures to mitigate climate change. This report cites seven scientific articles (co)published by Grenoble Ecole de Management professors.

The work of Corinne Faure, Sebastien Houde, Joachim Schleich and Carine Sebi, all from the GEM Energy Management research team, is cited as a reference in the "Climate Change 2022 - Migration of Climate Change" section of the IPCC report:

  • Mills & Schleich 2012 (pages 5-70)
  • Houde et al. 2013 Energy J (pages 5-77)
  • Rogge & Schleich 2018 (pages 6-120)
  • Schleich et al. 2018 Climate Policy (pages 13-25)
  • Gandenberger, Bodenheim, Schleich et al. 2015 (chapitre 14)
  • Schleich et al. 2016 Ener Pol (chapitre 15)
  • Sebi et al. 2019 Ener Eff (chapitre 15)

Another member of the Energy Management research team, Valeria Fanghella - post-doc at GEM, also contributed as an author to the IPCC's second working group report published earlier this year. This report assesses the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, biodiversity and human communities.

An information that comes in addition to a current and very dense sustainability-oriented dynamic of our school, which is strongly committed to the fight against Global Warming and carries out many initiatives in favor of transitions.

The recognized work of GEM professors is perfectly in line with the school's mission and engagements, as the first Business School in France to become a Société à Mission, to build a more sustainable future.
